The secretive meeting had been coordinated by Democratic National Alliance MP and businessman Tiran Alles at his residence and Ven. Sobhitha Thera had gone to the meeting after attending yesterday's rally in Colombo organised by Ven. Athuraliye Rathana Thera's 'Pivithuru Hetak' organisation.
Ministers Dulles Alahapperuma and Nimal Siripala de Silva as well as Defence Secretary Gotabhaya Rajapaksa has also attended this meeting.Accordingly, Minister Nimal Siripala de Silva and the Defence Secretary are to visit the Thera at the Kotte Nagaviharaya at 9.00pm tonight, sources say.
In recent times, the National Movement for a Just Society led by Ven. Sobhitha Thera raised a prominent voice over several issues including abolishing executive presidency and implementing Good Governance.
