Tsunami

A large earthquake or a volcano eruption wich occurs in the deep sea causes to rise a part of the bed of the sea. This may cover giant wave risesing up
from it. This is called Tsunami. when the wave comes sloser to the land side the height of the wave increases
The place where the earth quake takes place is known as the focal point. The point in the sea directly above the focal  point is the epicenter.
The first  Tsunami wave thet comes to the shore is not much powerful. After the wave the water from the shore is draged in to the sea in a very high speed. The next tidal wave comes with all the water which was dragged.
This may cover vast area of the country with sea water. It takes considerable time [ mearly one hour ] for the huge tidal wave to come to the shore. Therefore,the effect of  Tsunami can be minimized by moving away from the beach
sides as soon as possible.
